Have you looked at a tree recently?
I mean closely… really looked at it?
Because when you do, you’ll notice that trees are never the perfect specimens we drew as kids.
Instead, they’re broken.
They grow sideways.
They have bits falling off.
They’re split into two.
And yet… they’re still trees. They’re still magnificent.
They still provide food to squirrels and shelter for birds and shade for humans.
They still make oxygen, so we can breathe.
So why do we hold ourselves to such perfection?
Why are we so hard on ourselves when we screw up?
And why are we often never “enough”?
Look at a tree and you’ll notice how perfect it is with all its imperfections.
