If we actually listened to ourselves, we’d be a lot happier.
The trouble is, we tend to override our true feelings… because our minds think we know best.
When we get to step three of the Feel Better Project process, we ask ourselves: What can I do to feel just a little bit better?
The funny thing is, although we often know the answer to this - we hear it whispered in our ear - we ignore it.
We don’t really listen.
Sometimes we feel we “should” continue to do what we were already doing.
Or we think we will let people down.
Or we don’t want confrontation.
Or we don’t deserve to do what we really want to do.
But the reality is, when we feel better ourselves, everyone else feels better too.
When we are in alignment, we are able to spread our good feelings.
I’ve talked before about following the Easter egg hunt of joy: We listen to our feelings, we do something to feel better, we listen again, and we do something to feel better again.
As we do this, we build up positive momentum… and finally we feel so good that nothing can stop us.
That feeling – that joy of inspiration, that buzz of excitement – is contagious. Everyone you meet will sense it… and feel better.
So – today – listen to those whispered desires and trust them.
