Remembering to let go is one of the most powerful things we can do for ourselves.
So why is it so hard?
When things go wrong, we often go into “fix-it” mode.
We stress and we strain.
We kick and we thrash.
The reason? We’re responsible and we want to do the right thing.
The trouble is, it doesn’t always work that way.
When we’re efforting like this, we're not accepting what is. We’re fighting against the status quo.
Instead, try being OK with things as they are. Accept them. Relax into them.
Then once we do that, we start to feel better because we are in tune with reality.
And soon - when we’re in that better-feeling state - we can start to take action to get what we really want.
It goes like this: Accept – Release - Move Forward.
All this is the opposite of years of our conditioning. That’s why it takes practice.
I still screw up frequently because I’m still practising.
But I can promise you that every time you get this – every time you live this – life becomes easier.
