We’ve talked a lot here about noticing what makes us feel bad; what gives us that “urgh” feeling, when something’s not quite right.

But what about the flip side?

After all, our compass works both ways. We notice it when it’s off but we can also notice it when it is perfectly in line.

And when that happens, we feel amazing.

We feel enthusiasm.

We feel excited.

We feel engaged.

Indeed, we might even get that tingly sensation when our body – everything – is aligned with what our soul desires.

That’s what we are looking for!

That shows we are going in the right direction.

The secret then is to follow that feeling. To follow your desire. To keep that compass pointing to your true North.

Your inner compass never fails – we just have to listen to it.

And listening to it begins with stopping and noticing our feelings and asking: What can I do right now to feel just a little bit better?

That’s aligning your compass.
